The Dogmother
For abasic chocolate sponge, I just use a 6, 6, 6 and 3 recipe with a couple of good tablespoons of cocoa in it.
CatsCube
Thats what I was thinking of. I dont know how long to cook it for though or at what temperature.
The Dogmother
I'm the last person to ask that as my cooker is pants and everything just gets done on high! I'd say gas mark 5 (dunno what that is in leccie) for 35 mins, but test with a skewer from 20 mins. Less time if you have a fan oven. chickencam
If you have a fan oven i would say about 150/160 for 30-35mins, but my oven tends to be quite hot.
CatsCube
Fantastic, yes mine is a fan oven and very hot. I will do it like that. I have some double cream and cherry conserve to go inside. and some left over glace cherries and choc sprinkles that can go ontop with a little extra cream. This is ment to last for the next three days going in OHs lunch box and for me at lunch. I kind of get the feeling ti will only last 1 day though
Jules.
how did it go? My mum used to make a Delia black forest recipe for special occasions when I was little. it was a flourless recipe, & very yum
