Snowy
I know the feeling Freddie - I need to do one for for myself, but our church also need to get with the 21st century and do a website. A bit worrying when I am about the most computer literate one there

Leicester_H
No need to spend anything like £1,000. Well - it depends what you want. I have a web designer working for me. I can do most of the technical/functional stuff but he can do good DESIGNS. If you simply want something functional, that realatively easy, but if you want a 'good' site, then £1000 is about the going rate. Horses for courses. fairy&cake
sites like Mr Site are good if you want something basic and under say 30-60 pages. On my website i think ive got around 500, so i am now wishing id paid someone to do it. Even if it did cost £1000. WHat do you want your website for? I was assuming that freddie's business model/plan is fairly uncomplicated but also factoring in things like Disability Discrimination Act requirements and compliance with the First Company Law Directive. freddie
Thank you all for the help and advice. I think I've found a very understanding(read patience of saint) person to help me. I only need a basic weblink to the email/phone number, as I'll not cope with anything too complex, due to ignorance, and lack of time!!
