Liam
Hi all, I`ve posted on here before with a huge list of questions, so thanks for answering them all! After visiting a couple of people with Eglu'sa too, I have finally gone and ordered a purple eglu today, to arrive a week on Friday! This is after 2 and a half years of deliberating after buying my house.. cannot wait! Not sure if I am going to get Omlet hens or not (Omlet are delivering it themselves so seems sensible) but I want three hens, all different, and I have a stag do to go to that weekend, which I would have to cancel if I got hens.. soething to sleep on I guess, sont have to decide until next Thursday! I definitely want a light sussex, or a hybrid that looks like a white sussex (sussex star??) as I* have always loved them. But I saw a speckled sussex recently which was so nice.. I don't know. Current names I like are Alvin, Simon and Theodore (Chipmunks.. great cartoon!) or even random bloke names.. Roger, Bruce and Warren should do it!! Anyway just wanted to share the exciting news!! chrisnrob
Woo-hoo -great news! Purple was my first choice colour but I was "over ruled" Great names too Rob
Liam
Not sure why I'm considering random bloke names, just think it would be a bit random, as it is, as you say, a bit inappropriate! My friend Kelly has a budgie called Bruce and it just makes me laugh as its a bit odd.. Purple is a great colour, looks good, plus I am thinking that as a darker colour the ladies might not get up quite as early as in an orange eglu, say... just a thought I had as I`m not expecting the neighbours to be quite as excited about the chickens as me! Though the woman next door did wake me AFTER the earthquake last week with her persistant screaming, so I cant think she has grounds for complaint!! Laura & CTB
Purple is a fab colour Liam but dont expect them to have any more of a lie in .As soon as a mere fraction of daylight hits the vent holes, that's it - mine want out
