Fur 'n' Feathers
:Give me barmy, delightful fully clothed Christine Walkden any day! I loved that 'Christine's Garden' series. I bought her book too. I was really miffed to discover she isn't doing a third series, I even e.mailed her begging her to change her mind Although if you read the book you can kind of understand why she won't do any more telly programmes. Apparently she got loads of nasty e.mails telling her she was fat, ugly and should get someone else to choose her clothes she also hated the constant presence of the film crew in her house. She has 200 house plants Tessa Just got this. Horrified!!! She is a delight and a breath of fresh air compared with all the stuffiness that can be associated with gardening programmes....a true "wysiwyg". She does come on the Radio Kent gardening programme on Sunday mornings sometimes. we really can be a nation of iconoclasts sometimes
Lesley
Has anyone ever used that footpath Lesley? Yes! - very occasionally.... and then we stand like - and Matthew rides his quad bike along there to get to his pheasant pens...... I suppose the polytunnel might be the place to go - it does get very warm in there!!
MedusA
Give me barmy, delightful fully clothed Christine Walkden any day! I love "Christine's Garden". It is so delightfully naive and charming. I saw Christine at a graden show in Birmingham last year and won a prize for being the first to guess who was the real star of the programme. Reg, of course! The Dogmother
I do Paola, but he works shifts and isn't often around I dunno about them waiting for summer, they probably don't like the noise from the chainsaw. I am very careful not to use it at unsociable times, but still worry
