I know exactly what you mean - my 5 year old daughter carries both her and her brother's chickens around so easily and they just stay put in her arms without one struggle (even going down her slide on her lap, I might add!) I pick them up just as I was shown by Omlet man and they know just how to scrabble around and kick and get out of my arms almost immediately!!!
