stratton_henry
Hi I wonder if anyone can explain the strange behaviour of chicken Pavlova. After she's laid an egg she comes out of the eglu and picks up various small sticks and kind of throws them over her back. She does this for about 5 minutes! Any ideas? BeckyBoo
Some of ours did it to start with but they did it BEFORE they laid the egg, not after! Hens are daft! Mrs Bertie
Fur 'n' Feathers
She's not nest making .... she's morris dancing We should know.... we've seen it all ... and Fur has to organicse a large bunch of them annually
Carol U
One of mine does that too and makes a big production of it. When she's thrown enough straw around, she takes off into the garden and forgets she ever laid an egg! Could be right about the Morris dancing.
