littleredhen
Does anyone use the omlet netting? I am thinking of getting some to restrict the areas of garden the chickens will 'redesign' for me. I am hoping to grow some veg too this year so I can't give them completely free run of the garden. As it is quite expensive I thought I would ask whether anyone has got this, is it worth the money? I have read the reviews of the product but they probably wouldn't show any negative ones so I wanted to get a truer picture before I get my credit card out! Thanks
MaggieMcHen
I have it round my free ranging area and am very pleased with it. You can move it around easily and it isn't an eyesore when viewed from the house - you can hardly see it. You do have to make sure you don't put it within a foot of what you are protecting or they will put their heads through and get at it
Jules.
I have it & it's fine.
Egluntyne
Ditto. Worth the money.
jomaxsmith
Glad you asked this as I'm planning to get some to restrict my chooks to one area so my plants can grow over the summer. I told dh the price of the Omlet netting and he mumbled about finding something cheaper on the web. I think I can persuade him it's worth the money! littleredhen
Thanks for that, just what I wanted to hear. I have ordered some now and sadly am quite excited about it. My husband is shaking his head wearily at me! He just doesn't understand. Only 6 days until we get our ex-batts now as well.

chickenlass
I have been pleased with mine....The only thing I would suggest is putting in extra pegs between the sticks [even extra to what is supplied]as my chickens managed to burrow or limbo dance under the netting

Omlet red screw - in pegs are very good because when you move the fencing you can see them to remove them! The amount of black plastic ones the lawnmower has found is "Ooops, word censored!"ody's business (and I have an irate husband when it happens)!! superjules
Mine works great, although I don't use it very often. It's a challenge trying to untangle it when I do though!! Hours of fun, guaranteed!
Olly
It is definitely worth the money, although it is quite pricey it is very flexible. Second the advice about pegging it down, I use tent-pegs, but after reading Roxanne's post above I am going to get some of those RED screw-in ones! Can't afford to break another mower blade. I cut my netting into three pieces (took me months to be brave enough to do this, because of how much it cost). It was definitely a good thing to do, the shorter lengths are much easier to handle. I keep meaning to get some more posts to make it even easier to move around.
