Helly Welly
Yeah well done Helly Welly on getting your disabled badge... I do hope you manage to find a disabed parking space when you go for your hikes in the country dodging all this dog mess! Most hated person on forum at the moment = me As a disabled person, hikes in the country are a distant memory. I'm dodging dog mess on the cycles lanes where i live. And we don't hate you, just disagree with you. This is the one forum where anyone can say pretty much anything, even if we don;t agree with you, we never get personal. Have a big <>, offspring Thanks for the hug - right back at ya! I did actually have a larger post explaining that I was talking about hikes in the country, not towns, cities, parks and beaches etc. But it got removed because the moderator didn't agree with my point of view, obviously we are not allowed to discuss things like mature adults. You don't seem to be discussing things like mature adults.... Are you sure a moderator deleted it because they didn't agree with your point of view? Maybe there was another reason. hilda-and-evadne
This is not about what is and what is not socially acceptable. Not picking up after one's dog is ANTI-social. Who defines what is anti social? When does something that is seen as the norm such as smoking all of a sudden become anti social? Society does, obviously. Smoking became anti-social not just because of the smell and dirt but because of the enormous cost of treating smoking-related illness on the NHS which is paid for by people's taxes, taking away funds that could be spent better (ie with a result that was better in terms of quality of life and length of life) on other disorders. Get a grip on reality it is not anti social. Tell me why you think that your grip on reality is better than mine? A good example of anti social behaviour is constantly playing loud music next door to your house until 6am. And that would be a breach of bye-laws, just as dog fouling is. While we are on the subject of anti social behaviour, I notice that ASBO's are having a really positive effect on the community. This kind of punishment does not work! All it does is glorify the issue and not solve the root of the problem. Red herring alert. ''

I don't really understand why silly comments have been made. the Omlet forum is a place of sanctuary, support etc, and i honestly feel that this thread was started to put a small spanner in the works because you know we all care for the countryside. And comparing dog mess to the sound of childrens noise has actually insulted and annoyed me. edited for spelling., oops!
buffie
I am going to lock this topic now and discuss with moderators. I have already moderated it once and kept a close eye, along with other mods, and posted to keep the topic light. It seems to have come to a bumping halt now .
