We planted a withy bed yesterday.

 

we were given some withies (willow) in three different colours and have dedicated an area by the stream to plant them. We will coppice them to use the withies and to keep them cropping.

 

I want to make a willow sculpture so I'm hoping we have enough to use next year.

Brilliant you could run willow sculpting courses and sell willow wig-wams for peas etc.

I was given these - they are quite difficult to get hold of but you can buy them mail order - try googling to see if you have a supplier near to you.
