What a cheek!

How did you know that your neighbous took the eggs?

Because you have two things to tackle, it'll need hcareful handling. Maybe tell them that you discovered that the boys had been playing football in the garden, and you wondered if they had taken the eggs?

That way you get both issues in one sentence.

You can then go on to say that you hope that no one ate the eggs because you'd wormed the chickens before you went away, and the eggs are not edible for a while after that. And you'd prefer it if the boys didn't come and use your garden.

Although an amusing idea, personally I wouldn't cook up a story about any other medical condition. You don't want them to suddently start worrying about chickeny diseases, as you don't know where it might lead.

Mmm...I don't think you can 'accuse' them of taking the eggs without having any proof - I'd be more inclined to think that if the boys had the nerve to play in your garden then they may have taken them as a 'prank'.

I'd still casually mention when speaking to them that it was strange there were no eggs when you came back, but it doesn't really matter as you wouldn't have been eating them anyway because of their worming medication.

.....and another thought - does your cleaner like eggs??
