fluffymuppet
Just a quick heads up for anyone that uses Brita water filters. Instead of having to post them off to be recycled, they're now collecting them from certain shops. There's a store locator on the website, so you can find your local drop off point. Lesley
Thank you! We can take ours to Robert Dyas or Argos. I wonder if they'll take the Boots filters? edit - I can't find out anything on the Boots site, I'll keep looking....
Keanie Bean
Thanks for that , Its a shame ours is miles away and somewhere we would never go to. I think the carbon footprint of the drive alone would outweigh any benefits of recycling these. I'm surprised at that living in London. I would have expected there to be more. Maybe I'll suggest it to my store manager where I work. It is the biggest Sainsburys in the country so they should do something like this really. pelicano
I didn't realise either. It's Argos for me. Trouble is, I can't imagine I'll ever remember to take them and my shed is filling up with recycling! Will try though!
fluffymuppet
I can sympathise - we're trying to get into the habit of recycling our Tetrapaks, now that there's a collection bin for them at the local Tesco. We don't have many, but last time we dropped them off the bin was full and there were two full trolleys of the things as well!
Guest
Thanks for this - I can even take them to the little Argos in Billericay. Mind you at the moment I'm using cheap Makro filters so probably no good. But I'll remember it for when I have the Brita ones again.
Trish
Great thanks I can take them to an Argos just round the corner from work

That always happens at our local Tetrapak recycling centre - and there are notices saying don't leave them if the bin is full or you'll be fly tipping! Not much point in advertising about recycling facilities if they are emptied once in a blue moon. We are all trying to make an effort here, after all.
