Abbey Road Girl
Peace is breaking out ! Tesco's is a very real dilemma, isn't it. You were right, Poet, to suggest that people avoid feeding the beast. It's probably because I agree with you that I felt somewhat scolded. I don't have a lot of options. Not just because I'm a pedestrian, but because of Cambridge's rather limited range of shops and the limited range of items available in the shops we do have. I've done a lot of walking in pursuit of chicken "necessities". The rake matches my green Cube and is very useful. The tools are metal and wood. I shall have to keep an eye out for plastic milk bottles in my neighbours' recycling boxes! I am currently using a humus container for a scoop and it's really too small. Guest
sometimes you have to cut yourself some slack, as you say. I had to resort to buying a sandiwch at the hospital recently (where my father is in ICU). I was really hungry and the hospital shop was the only option. Most of the sandwiches had egg in them and those which didn't had mayonnaise so I had to resort to a BLT with mayo on it . Hospital shops sell such junk, you'd think they'd at least have some fresh fruit or something If I had known your circumstances and field of expertise, I probably wouldn't have made a comment about Tesco but whenever I hear that name, it makes me so angry! Abbey Road Girl
So sorry to hear about your dad in ICU, Poet. That has to be really tough. My heart goes out to you. Cambridge's Addenbrookes Hospital has had Burger King and probably KFC, though it's been a while since I hung out there. And no need to make excuses for reacting to the word Tesco's! All best. The Dogmother
Thank you Egluntine, I was just about to say the same thing... I'd love to reply to your posts diamondeggs, but find them very hard to read. For that reason, we discourage posting in caps or text speak. Surely it must be easier to type without capitalising the first letter of every word.
