Paola
That is great news The school my children go to is no longer in our catchment area It was when we moved here three years ago in May and they then changed it all around in the Sept Thankfully DD2 got in because DD1 is already there so I hope that when DS starts a year in Sep that he will get in Also due to the catchment areas changing, DD1 has a free pass for the school bus but DD2 is not entitled
chickweed
That's good news Everything is so complicated for parents and children these days. When I was growing up, everyone went to the local primary school.I don't think anyone questioned this arrangement. It was only later at the age of eleven you might go further afield to grammar school, providing you passed the eleven plus exam. It was far from ideal and very unfair. But when I hear about SATS, league tables, children being denied their preferred school etc, I realise how much simpler life was in this respect. Basset
What good news, it's such a relief to get into your first choice of school. You can now enjoy preparing Ethan for his first day. My DS starts school in September, I should be getting "The Letter" next week, to find out if he got in.
