Trudy
Hi as a last resort I am thinking of fitting bumper bits to stop them making each other oven ready. I have tried all other means but nothing seems to work could anyone tell me where I can get these from and how they fit on, I live in Kings Norton, West Midlands anyone local to my area that could possibly help me would be appreciated. Olly
I have no experience of them I'm afraid, but there is a stick on the FAQs thread (quick link here) and another one under 'Chicken Clinic' here. These should tell you all you need to know.
Egluntyne
Fel free to PM me if you would like me to send you a couple. I inadverantly ordered 150 a few weeks ago, so have plenty to spare.
AJuff
Bumper bits work a treat. Only three weeks ago there were five bare bottoms and today I was admiring their frilly knickers!!!
Lewis
They were quite hard to get on the hens beaks, but they worked, and no more feather pecking!
urbanchick
I wouldn't hesitate. They have worked for my bottom pecker and I wish I'd done it sooner and hadn't bothered with the anti peck spray. They are hard to prise apart but putting them in boiled water (not just hot from the tap) makes them much more pliable.
Olly
I inadvertantly ordered 150 a few weeks ago, so have plenty to spare. That sounds a bit like my accidental order of 3 pineapples and 4 kg of bananas on the Ocado order!
