Shiney Chez
One of my ladies is currently sat on the nest and is making such a racket! Is this normal behaviour? I have never heard anything like it before and its making me rather worried.

Shiney Chez
Tikka has come out now and has laid an egg. Think she may be a drama queen !! She has just laid the biggest egg so far....60g!! Was getting rather concerned!
chelsea
yes they do tend to shout their beak off when they've laid one!! I've got 4 noisy chooks here!
Ain't Nobody Here
One of mine often makes a racket for no apparent reason whatsoever . Luckily, she doesn't do it for too long so hopefully the neighbours aren't too bothered.
jomaxsmith
My Maran Cuivre bawks for a good 5 minutes after laying. I'm just hoping she keeps in the routine of laying mid morning because if she starts making that noise at 5am I'll have to start closing the Eglu at night! hillfamily
My girls like to announce that they have laid an egg..........only lasts a couple of minutes and then they're off scratching and searching
