Hi,

Dad visited at the week-end and rolled a cigarette out in the garden and had it snatched out of his hand by my . She ran round the garden with it with the others chasing her. Was very amusing to watch a chicken running round with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth but I was just very greatful it wasn't alight! She dropped it in a puddle gave it a peck & walked off so don't think she will become addicted

 

Dad is now confined to the summer house to roll & smoke as I can't take the chance of a burn't beak

That happened to us recently - my husband was sitting in a chair in the garden with a lit cigarette when Pansy slipped through under his chair and stole it from his hand

 

She was so quick and I don't think I've ever seen him move quite so fast

 

It did look funny momentarily but hopefully he'll be more careful in future - or give up

Maybe they have formed a chickens against smoking group..........or is that they are up on the non smoking legislation and consider the garden as a place of work!

apparently tobacco is supposed to good at combatting worms in chickens. (dont take that as gospel though - not sure if its an old wives tale)

Think if I could have video'd the 'original' would have been great, had Dad shouting "You little "Ooops, word censored!"" Mum (whose scared of them) running in the opposite direction, & me wetting myself Not sure this could be repeated but I'm sure they will be up to something else soon, will have to have the recorder on standby

had this happen to me. they keep trying to nick my strip of filter tips

they go barmy when i take them back.
