bennyboy
Hurrah! The Omley man dropped off my new Eglu and chickens this morning. I have a increasing collection of snails that I have collected from my veg. plot and I wondered if I could give them to my chickens? Or should I leave them for the thrushes? Thanks Ben
surferdog
Hi, I give mine snails (you have to crush the shells for them) and they love them. I think I read somewhere not to give them too many though or it gives them the runs
Egluntyne
I've never had to break the shells for my greedy lot. A tiny note of caution though...snails act as hosts for some worm eggs, so you will need to worm them from time to time.[/img]
clucking mad
well they love slugs , so i pressume that snails are made out of the same kind of slimy stuff. just make sure they dont have too many because then they get dhiorhea(cant spell sorry!) surferdog
I'm obviously spoiling mine! They stalk off in disgust if the shells aren't broken
