Lewis
Now for the stupid question. I think you have to cut the big end off the bottle, so the small end golds in the plant. How do I get the tomato plant into the neck of the bottle
redhotchick
I'm a bit concerned that this year the girls might think I've provided them with an eat as much as you like buffet Very funny and very likely correct!
Lewis
I planted 2 bottles today, A big milk bottle and a big coke bottle. I used 1 tiny little plant, and also a big plant, it was harder to get the big 1 into the bottle! Will keep you updated.

AJuff
Are the Tumbler toms F1 hybrids? If not, you can always save the seed. Then you don't have to rely on the seed company. We do this with Tigerella and other ones that we like - I tend to avoid hybrids so that I can save the seed - with the exception of Sungold, everyone likes those. Can't you save all seeds? What is the problem with hybrids and how would you know if you had a hybrid or not?
