Ill fitting prima crocs-an apparent solution

Recommended Posts

Well I know a lot of you have bought crocs prima and have found them not to be a very good fit. However whilst I was browsing on the lookatmycrazyshoes.com forum I found a novel solution of how to get your primas to fit:

I had the same problem with my prima - until I read that if you put them in the tumble dryer for 2 mins and wear them warm, they mould to your feet.

I placed mine in a sink of boiling water and it did the same effect - they fit perfectly now.

:) Thanks for passing on this idea to try. I have wide feet so bought Primas next size up. Result; they are barely wide enough but also slip because they're too long!

Somehow was too optimistic at the time that I could "make them fit" but really should have returned them.

Still determined to wear them somehow, so this sounds a top tip, if it works. I may not be free to give it a whirl over the next few days (it'll be the boiling water method for me) but I shall try before too long. I won't lose anything by trying. Then, if the moulding works well I may use a bit of insole to adjust the ill fitting length.

Thanks Liz, I'll try & report back in a few days time. :D

I've been wearing mine since Christmas and although I thought they were too big and they were giving me blisters on my little toes, I've worn them pretty much every day since then and they no longer hurt or feel 'flappy' but it may just be that I've become used to them. They are very antisocial however as I went to pick my daughter up from an after school activity and my feet were a bit wet as it was raining so I duly squelched into the village hall with my feet making 'farty' noises much to the obvious disgust of some of the women standing there! Talk about the parting of the Red Sea! I didn't help matters by blushing and obviously this was taken as an admission of guilt. You live and learn!

I bought DD2 some Primas size 7 a year ago. I had to import them from America, so didn't think I would send them back when they didn't fit her. I washed them a few times in the machine and now they are a comfortable size 6. And I got another pair of Crocs!

Just to let you know, i finally got around to putting my Primas in hot water and it worked :D I put them in the sink and poured a kettle full of hot water into them. I left them for five minutes, dried them, then put them on with a pair of socks on. They now fit lovely, so much that i just bought another pair to use as slippers.

So that's now 6 pairs of Crocs i own.

Will this madness never end
