tara
I had a chicken with a prolapse. Because id been to the vet with another one of my chickens recently which cost me £240.00 l could not afford to take her right away so l treated her with the pep h cream.I ran out of that about a week and a half ago.We have a really big run for our call ducks. She was living apart on her own to get better. l thought id try her in with the call ducks. l kept her an eye on her but she was fine and this way she would have lots of company and more space.Any way every day ive checked on her prolapse to see if it was getting better.Today l checked on it and its gone back in im so happy l feel like jumping around the room.Im going to let all of her feathers grow back then ill pop her back with the others.Ive been freeranging them all every day for a few hours so fingers crossed they will all be ok.Sorry to have gone on but im so happy. Gamebird
Yes, it is a good feeling when things go well. It really is such a relief when they get better. Long may it continue.
moomin
Well done for knowing what to do and being able to treat her yourself. I know what you mean about vets bills, we have just come back this afternoon - our 5 and a half year old guinea pig has stones in her bladder so she's going under the knife. Estmate = £300 +. I just took one look at her little face and got the credit card out
