Was it Moorlands poultry in Leek you went to? I think you may have been there when I picked up my Moorlands legbar and Sussex star on Sunday, I was with my little boy.

How are yours settling in? My Legbar is a really nervous little thing spending her life keeping out of the way of my other hens! Hopefully she'll settle in soon.

It was :D your little boy is lovely, I think he thought I was barking mad as I asked for 2 legbars with top-not head feathers  they are a bit skitty :( I'm hoping they calm down, we called them Mary and Martha, we also got a columbian blacktail called Betty and an amberstar called Sally :D the Sussex stars are lovely too :D

The lady said the amberstar should be really friendly, :D and I can't remember what she said about the blacktail  I'm hoping the legbars are related to araucanas as I habe a black/red one and she is batty and really friendly :D

I hope your girls settle in quickly :D

Well after keeping them seperate inside the walk in run, I took the eglu run off the other day, and let them freerange together, there were a few feather pulling but nothing major :D

At night the first night the 4 new ones roosted on the cube roof :( as the eglu was full (7  ) older girls so a bit of rearrangement and they had their eglu back

Last night the new girls went into the cube with Lilly Sam and Daisy, so I let them stay there :? got up extra early this morning and let them out, the littlies were in the nest area together but fine :D:D so I guess appart from the occasional lunge from the others and feather pull when they get in the way of one of the older ones :( they seem pretty settled ( I hope they carry on like that)
