Waited months for my stupid cream legbar to start laying blue eggs!!

Now she's laid and it was white and the size of a Bantams!!!

 

I know it wasn't my bantam 'cause she was up in a tree in a broody cage so unless she is a ninja chicken??????

 

What a let down on the legbar and she's got bright blue ears is there any chance they can start off white and tun blue later???

When my cream legbar started laying they were on the smallish size but they were definitely blue Haven't heard of one laying white eggs before as they are pure breeds and not ( at least these days) a hybrid. Is she definitely a Cream legbar and not a different type of legbar? ( gold legbars lay white eggs??)

Aw, how disappointing . White eggs are though, so maybe you can learn to forgive her .

oh bless her heart, white eggs are lovely! I would be gratefull for any eggs, I wouldn't want to lay them..

 

I thought I read somewhere that the egg colour can change but I cant remember where...

A friend has two - bought at the same time (pure breed) one lays white eggs and the other blue eggs.

Are you sure they aren't Gold Legbars?

 

White eggs are fab.

Sometimes Root's eggs (cream legbar) look white until I put them next to Lilly's egg (white star) and then they look blue.... you may be suprised!
