cluckbok Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 We've had Pecky (speckledy) since March and since we've had her she's only laid twice, both were normal eggs. She goes in nestbox every morning for about 10 mins then comes out again having done nothing. Well today she went in there and came out bok bokking like mad and wouldn't be quiet til we checked the nest box. We found what looks like a small pinkyish soft shelled egg the size of a budgies egg? OH burst the egg to see what it was like inside and it looked like egg white. Do you think she could be getting her laying tackle back in order and that we may get an egg soon?? Janty Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 My little pekin did the same thing. It's quite common and it's called either a dwarf egg, a wind egg or (my husband's favourite) a fart egg.
