Sausage making

We're looking into making our own sausages and so we're looking for an electric mincer also so I can make my one sausage meat for scotch eggs and I was looking at amazon and found the following product and was astounded by the discount they're offering!!! :wink:

Has anyone else made they're own sausage meat?

We have had a go at making sausages using the instructions in Hugh's Family cookbook. It was great fun, but hard to get the texture and seasoning right.

 

We just used an old style mincer that suckers to the worksurface, we use it for mincing beef for burgers too, then use our Lakeland burger maker :D

I used a magic mixer or something I was given last week to get castor sugar from regular sugar and while looking through the instructions it says it can make sausaemeat so that's excellent to know for the scoth eggs of which I have to make 24 for my mum's birthday party!
