Is there any deterrent for Flies, seems since the nice weather we have been inundated, we clean the girls out weekly and change their bedding every other day - but does anybody else have issues, and if you do, what are you using to control it?

Citronella oil dropped onto the nesting material works well.

 

Many Omleteers are using **Flitraps**.

 

I used them last year and 2 mysteriously vanished.

A lot of people seem to use a few drops of citronella. I'm going to try and find some over the weekend....

I use a large spray bottle full of water, 10 drops citronella oil, 5 of tea tree and spritz it around the cube. Rhapsody has a better version I might try next time - use half cider vinegar, half water, 10 drops citronella, 5 drops tea tree plus 5 drops lavender. Makes the cube smell lovely and deters flies

After getting a whiff of son's bedroom - I can hire him out to you! At least when we get ours, the flies won't notice them with this boy around!
