Egg Lou
I know this is old hat to everyone.. but we have just had our first egg after picking up the girls 24hrs ago! DD's hen so rather excited! Was very sweet as Beanz had "rounded up" the 2 fake eggs I had put in nest then laid hers with them.. I have now removed all as don't want a broody this quick! DD and I did the egg dance and heard next door laughing DD insisted I took photo and put on here.. I must must must stop taking so many photos!! Snowy
Don't stop taking the photos whatever you do! Lovely egg, so that is what a pied suffolk egg looks like! My PS Spice has been with us 4 weeks and not produced yet. In fact she is still acting like a scatty teenager despite her nice red comb
Ain't Nobody Here
First eggs are never old hat . Congratulations, it looks lovely . Love the idea of the neighbours laughing . I think your egg looks the same colour as Molly's, my Pied Suffolk (they're the palest ones)

AMS
Congratulations. Our first egg was laid three weeks ago and I'm still excited every time I find an egg in the nesting box (or behind a flowerpot in the garden!) Ax
