Minky
Enid has just recently started making that very noise (bbbrrrrRRRRRUP!) when I go in the garden. Maude, on the other hand, has started making a noise just like a seagull when she lays whcih has resulted in a run of about 6 double yolkers in a row from her!! WitchHazel
I just love it when my hens purr with contentment.
Laura & CTB
Definately a happy chook when they purr - mine do it when they're sunbathing
abwsco
When my ex batts first did it I found it quite emotional as I thought it was probably the first time they'd been happy enough to purr in over a year.
Valkyrie
abwsco - you brought a tear to my eye. That is such a sobering, sad thought - but such a happy ending. Going to find a hanky now.
