Enid has just recently started making that very noise (bbbrrrrRRRRRUP!) when I go in the garden.

 

Maude, on the other hand, has started making a noise just like a seagull when she lays whcih has resulted in a run of about 6 double yolkers in a row from her!!

When my ex batts first did it I found it quite emotional as I thought it was probably the first time they'd been happy enough to purr in over a year.
