Copdock Mill layers pellets??

Recommended Posts

A few weeks ago I ordered a sack of layers pellets from my local pet shop.

The ones he got in were Copdock Mill layers pellets.

I have not heard of them before and am wondering if they are a poor quality feed?

Since getting them I had Brandee unwell (although she is back to normal now :D ), more softies than usual and much paler yolks.

The problem was worse at the start of the sack. :?

I have now ordered our normal pellets online so they will be back on those soon but I was just curious as to whether anyone else has heard of this make and if they have had any problems with them??

Mmmm, thought that they may be the case.

I wasn't charged a budget price  but I wouldn't mind betting that they are a cheapo feed which doesn't contain enough calcium, goodness etc.

They have been ok since I have been dusting the pellets with limestone flour but I definitely won't be buying them again. Would rather pay the postage and get the Allen and Page ones which is what we normally use anyway :D
