Tigerlily
My Rosie had clear fluid dripping from her earlier and her vent was pulsating as it dripped. Is this normal? She is now 19 weeks old and hasn't started laying yet. She seems a little quiet, but is scratching about, digging, eating and drinking normally Can anyone help/or offer any advice please? Thanks in advance BWx
Egluntyne
The vent does pulsate so that is nothing to worry about. Is it a watery fluid or is it thicker, like egg white?
Christian
Thinking along the same lines as Egluntine. It could be egg white. Maybe it is her first egg and it is a softie. Quite common when they first start laying. It canmake them feel poorly as it takes a lot of energy to lay a softie. if she is no better later, bring her inside and put her in a box in a warm place. The warmth will help her feel better.
