gemschooks
Hi all yet another worry...one of the most threadbare girls seems to have a droopy wing - hopefully photo attached. She seems happy in herself but she's always first in bed! Does she need a vet trip?
Mel (& Paul)
Unless it seems to be causing her distress then I would keep an eye on her - if she is drinking and eating then you shouldnt worry.
theherd123
Gem, she may have just been knocked a bit or bashed her wing when flapping about. Does she seem ok in every other respect? If so i wouldnt worry too much, keep an eye on her and if you need me to pop over and check her out im only round the corner
Egluntyne
Often their muscles are in a very weak state, purely because they haven't had a chance to use them properly. It might sort itself out over the next week or two. As long as she is not in distress, I shouldn't worry.
abwsco
We've had our exbatts since the 26th April and Lurleens wings have always looked like that. It's taken up to this past fortnight for hers to start moving up. Hope that reassures you a bit
gemschooks
thanks all for your messages. I think it is a relatively new thing and suspect she has injured it flapping around - I feel guilty because I had to pick her up a few times to check on her when she had the bare red belly and I'm wondering if inadvertently i hurt her wing I will see how she goes though...I heard someone on the board saying that they strapped up the wings of one of their birds, but i have no idea how i'd go about that!! Christian
Maybe it is just bruised Gem? She could have hurt it whilst flapping around? Try some arnica pillules from Boots (30c) to help with the brusing. Hope she is back to normal soon
