Hi I had to do something to keep occupied yesterday and keep my mind off Babs.

We are starting High School Musical on Sunday for 2 weeks in Birmingham, and it was about time I stuck a few videos on youtube of Oliver we did last year.

I do quite a bit of backstage work and all of my family are involved.

Dad was Fagin, Brother was Oliver and Mom did the chaperoning for the kids in the show and I do the crewing.

I've done my fair share of make up duty and chaperoning over the years.

For high school musical we ordered the costumes from America and they are the same as the film. Some are hired aswell, but they are washed in between shows because we have 6 groups of children!

They arrived yesterday and are really good.

 

I'm getting excited now, and am going to make props this evening, should be good fun.

Sharpei makes me laugh ! I watched High school musical 2 on the plane, it made the flight go quicker - I enjoyed it.

I bet the costumes are very good. What are you doing after High School Musical?

Its top secret at the moment , but we will have a licence soon and then we will all know what the show will be.

 

We are quite limited as it is a kids show and it needs to have leads aswell as a strong chorus. Quite a few shows have 'adult content' which isnt suitable for 8-16 year olds!

 

We have done Annie, FAME, Annie (again with a different group of kids), Oliver and now High School Musical. HSM is on at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham if anyone wants to bring the kids, im sure they'll love it and £12.50 is much better than the tour prices

Were in the 2nd week of the run of high school musical, and it has gone really well. The audiences have been great with standing ovations at the end of the shows!

 

The kids love it all. Will be wierd when it has all finished.

 

We are hoping to do Summer Holiday next year, which will be good for the kids, as there are lots of parts for them to do
