Snowy
Bought some of this from B&Q - it was on offer as they had tried, unsuccessfully, to kill it off Anyway, it is growing really nicely now - the chooks have nibbled the leaves nearest the fence and tell me it is lovely, so I've picked some leaves for tea. Never had it before - am planning to steam it over the new potatoes. Is that right, or should it be treated differently? Thanks!
TAJ
That would do fine - I just chop slightly, put a k"Ooops, word censored!" of butter in a pan on a medium-low heat and put it in with the lid on - it cooks very quickly and the whole family love it - its like a weed on our allotment, it just keeps growing! Snowy
Thanks Tracy - I haven't put it on yet so will add a bit of butter and see how it goes!

Trish
the smaller leaves can be had raw in salad too
chickencam
How did the spinach go? I love all kinds of spinach and chard and they are largely interchangeable in recipes. Spinach itself is the most tender and the best for salads and sanwiches and tastes best all round . The others need a little more cooking especially the stalks so it is worth cooking them seperately.
