Guest
...DAY 13 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... The Eglu has been sent into turmoil with the arrival of new Househens, Sam (Brown Leghorn), and Aisleyne (Blue Faverolle). They managed a whole 5 mins in the Eglu, before the pecking began. Imogen, Grace and Sezer scurried off for a private moan about the new Househens in the nesting box, complaining that Aisleyne would look a mess, without her vaselined comb, and that Sam was 'wrong'. Little did they realise how right they are. Sam initially revealed to Buff Orpington, Richard, that she had been born cockeral, but prefered to snuggle into the nesting box of an afternoon, in the hope that something would appear, before admitting the situation to the rest of the Househens. The Househens remained tightbeaked about their feelings. After the Househens were woken this morning by an alarm call of plaintive chick cheeping, the pecking and scuffling continued over the glug, and Aisleyne found it hard to get a space at the peanuts. While the rest of the Househens squabbled over the veggie peelings, one was in the nesting box, pondering his future in the Eglu - unable to cope with the pressures of fame (really! Why come on Big Chicken, then?!), Posh George, the Norfolk Grey spoke to Big Chicken this afternoon, and has too, has now taken the ride to the pie factory. Guest
...DAY 14 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... Following yesterdays departure of posh George, the Norfolk Grey, the Househens have been anxiously scratching about, wondering if Big Chicken would pop another chicken in the Eglu. Big Chicken, meanwhile, has announced this weeks shopping task, with the Househens being turned into a flock of trainspotting geek chooks. The Househens will be required to 'spot' trains that will travel through the run, on a specially constructed railway. After completing that part of the task, the Househens will be divided into 3 groups, where they will required to learn either quantum physics, brain surgery or soduko solving. As always in Big Chicken the Househens will be required to dress up for the task, with wooly hats and anoraks being provided for all Househens. They need to pass 3 out of the 4 sections of the task, or else it'll be plain pellets next week for the hungry Househens. While the househens sat dwon to a dinner of mealworms and carrot peelings, they were rudely interrupted, when Big Chicken announced this weeks nominations. Up for the public vote this week will be Lea, Richard and Sezer.

kannie
I missed the nominations: why is Richard up for the public vote, and how come no-one nominated Nicki? She was being so irritating - has she changed?
Guest
I missed the nominations: why is Richard up for the public vote, and how come no-one nominated Nicki? She was being so irritating - has she changed? Nope, Nikki HASN'T changed. If you get a chance to watch the nominations at any point, you'll see she was at her melodramatic, screeching, 'daddy's little princess' best...... That girl does my head in! Guest
...DAY 15 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... The Househens have been in a state of turmoil today, following a late night bust-up in the Eglu. All-seeing Big Chicken noticed that Lea and Richard had attempted to make their own vodka from the potato peelings won in this weeks shopping list, so the offending liquor was confiscated, with Big Chicken generously offering a half bottle of peach schnapps and a minature of Glayva in return. This was snapped up quicker than a handful of grapes by the (by this point slightly tipsy) terrible twosome, who immediatly rushed off to the end of the run to enjoy their contraband. Sadly, nosey Gold Legbar, Slezer (ooops, sorry SEZER) noticed the kerfuffle and was straight out into the run for a stand-off. What could have been a simple 'give me a taste, or I'm going to peck you' arguement, soon descended into a 'you said, he said' slagging match, which ended when Big Chicken had to urgently call Sezer to the Diary Room, before feathers flew. This morning saw an uneasy truce in the Eglu, while the Househens tried to work together to pass this weeks 'Geek' shopping task. After sepending the day trainspotting, the Househens settled down to an afternoon of studying, with the Househens divided into three groups, studying quantum physics, brain surgery and soduko solving. kannie
...This was snapped up quicker than a handful of grapes by the (by this point slightly tipsy) terrible twosome... Ah - so thats why Richard was behaving like that. He's normally so much better at expressing himself and dealing with the chicks. I fear he may have earned himself a few votes in the process. Guest
...DAY 16 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... This morning the Big Chicken Househens woke up, satisfied in the knowledge that they had passed the shopping task for the week. After successfully trainspotting, the Househens passed both the quantum physics and brain surgery portions of the task, with only Sam failing in the Sudoku challenge, when she mistakenly entered the number 3 twice on one line. The day started with a huddled conversation, as Grace recounted to Lisa, the scare she had been given in the middle of the night. The Sussex Star was eager to share the news that, while she was sleeping, confused Brown Leghorn, Sam, had snuggled up to her in the nest box and offered to help check for red mite, adding that she thought Grace was 'fandabeedozee' Elsewhere, Richard, Lea and Sezer were all having a dustbath and preen, preparing for Davina McCaw's eviction announcement. While Richard and Lea prepared themselves for the worst, Gold Legbar, Sezer continued to strut around the run, confident of his position at head of the Eglu. Little did he realise that more than 90% of the voting population disagreed with his high opinion of himself, and the fowl population of Britain are joined in celebration tonight as the Legbar became the second Househen to be evicted from the Big Chicken Eglu. Guest
...DAY 17 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... Day 17 has seen a lot of back tracking by Imogen. Shocked by last nights eviction of Sezer, the pretty Fresian has been trying to do a bit of bridge mending between herself and Buff Orpington, Richard. After a deep conversation in the Eglu, the two Househens seem to have made up, but there was no hug, giving the impression things are not truely at peace. Later on, Richard had another heart-to-heart in the nestbox, this time with confused Leghorn, Sam. Sam confessed to the Orpington that he one day hoped to lay an egg of his own, and that he was rooting for Davina McCaw to call her chick 'Sam'. Richard clucked understandingly, and the two ended their conversation with a friendly hug - could Sam be hoping for more? Big Chicken gave the Househens a 1 day task this afternoon, and each of the Househens will be called to the diary room, to cluck as loud as possible, with the loudest cluck being rewarded with a slap-up luxury meal, cooked by a top chef, to share with one other Househen. With Grace and Mikey the only couple left in the Eglu, both are hopeful that one of them wins the prize, so they can enjoy a romantic meal at the end of the run. Guest
...DAY 18 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... Lisa is gutted this afternoon, after Big Chicken informed her that she would not be allowed to nominate this week, after she was caught discussing nominations with Imogen. With her increasingly foul temper beginning to bother her feloow Househens, she realises that this could spell the beginning of the end of the loudmouthed bantam in the Eglu. Furious with herself, she has hidden down at the bottom end of the run all afternoon, hiding her face behind the peanuts whenever someone comes down for some pellets. Elsewhere, confused Leghorn, Sam, has been irritating the Househens with her permanent smile, unfailing helpfulness and bad habit of uttering 'fandabeedozee' every time someone breathes. Even her offer to clean the glugs out, and s"Ooops, word censored!"e the poo tray was greeted with a round of pecking from the grumpy Househens. With the departure of Legbar, Sezer still playing on the minds of the Househens, none of the boys seem prepared or willing to stand up and take postion of head chook in the Eglu, with Maran Mikey shirking from the battle, and laying low in the Eglu. Buff Orpington, Richard has spent the afternoon being pampered by Sam, in a very un-cockerel like way, with the Orpington being treated to a facial feather pluck, and makeover. Guest
...DAY 19 IN THE BIG CHICKEN EGLU... Day 19 has seen certain Househens continue their campaign to alienate certain new Househens. Poor Faverolle, Aisleyne, has been trying her best to impress, cooking up a storm at the peanuts, only for snotty Buttercup, Nikki to turn her beak up at the dinner of mealworms and tomatoes. Nikki clucked to Grace, after the dinner that hers had been 'all mealworm, and no tomato', and apparantly the Buttercup isn't too kean on the old mealworms, after she likened the feast to 'cat vomit' Meanwhile, Sam continued to run rings round the rest of the Househens as he set Aisleyne off against White Frizzle, Lea. The silly Leghorn is ignoring the fact that nominations are due to be done today, and that he can be evicted this week, after receiving immunity on his first week. All conversations in the Eglu now seem to work in the same way 'he said, that you said, that I had said, that she said......', with the Leghorn being the catalyst for most of the conversations.
