Cinnamon
Anyone ever been? Hubby & Cleo want to go,so I need to know if its worth it,if you can actually see any of the race,& if its worth paying extra to sit in the Grandstand?
hils78
Oooh I won tickets to the one at Longleat a couple of years ago - it was FANTASTIC. I would love to go again. You can get to see - is just worth keeping moving round till you get a good space. Do take food & drink with you because it is VERY expensive - needless to say I went hungry! oh & a good blanket for sitting on is a good idea too. The Dogmother
I've been and it's fabtastic, but you have to be a bit of a plane bore to like it. We go to an airshow every year, so it's right up our street.
Cinnamon
I must admit it doesn't appeal to me but H&C are keen. The stand tickets are £35 each though,so I want to find out if its worth it,or if the riverbank will be good enough?
Fabergé
For anyone who's into planes & flying, I can highly recommend this group - http://www.airraceuk.co.uk/index.php which OH & I belong to. It costs nothing to come along & watch (provided you happen to be near the appropriate airfield). The members come from every walk of life & are not the slightest bit stuffy & the social scene is brilliant!
SarahJo
Watch it on telly - its absolutley fab, cannot comment from a spectator point of view though. When is it on
chili pepper
OOhh I nearly posted this question myself today. I really want to go but with myself and hubby and 4 children all over 5 yrs it looks to be very expensive. I also wondered whether it was worth buying the grandstand tickets as opposed to the standing tickets. I also worry about the weather, there is nothing worse than 4 cold, miserable children on a day out. Is it worth paying the extra for the grandstand tickets?? Can you get a good view from the standing areas?
