Well done phonix for sticking with it, I know it is very expensive but i think it is worth being able to drive so that you can become more independant.....

My son is taking his Pass plus test next week where he will learn to drive on a motorway and in a city centre, I want him to do this so that it gives me and him more confidence in his driving. It is a 6 hour module, on Tuesday he is going into Manchester with his instructer for a 2 hour lesson and then on Saturday he is driving to North Wales and back which will take 4 hours, at the end of it he should get a certificate from the DSA which will mean he can also get a lower insurance cover.......... :)

Good luck everybody else with there driving it will be worth it in the end.....

Congratulations to your son Nicola :D

It is important to be able to drive these days, my mum has never learnt ane it has left her vunerable over the last few years when my dad has had a couple of serious illnesses.

I passed my test and then didn't really drive for 2 years because I was so nervous, then my OH took me in hand bought me an automatic mini - don't laugh it was very sweet only did 40 mph flat out. He then got me driving all over the place. I am still a bit jittery about new places and big city areas but I am so glad that I can drive.
