they can't free range so i have to get him to come to me really as I can't get inb the cube easile and I certianly won't be able to get out with chook in hand.

I have about 1/2 an hour before dh comes home from work to take him back dh is really upset so i think it would be less of a blow if I have already caught him.

Can you stretch a long handled broom beyond him and kind of push him towards you? Grapes or mealworms always work with mine.

no net but I have got a brrom and we haven't had any treats yet so I will give that a go. Tis about time to get on with it now.

I would open the cube door and hold out some dandelion leeaves, he will come over to inspect then you can catch him.

I can't bel;ieve how easy that was, he is such a lovely chook. I went oput with a handful of raisens and he cam e straight to me. he is making a very strange noise now though I feel very cruel.

He is deffo a boy, I was really sad but apparently they have a little girl and she was so happy to see him back, the breeder promised Maugan that he will stay there or go to a nice home, we have an amber link called fizz, she is lovely, although it is difficult to tell the difference between her and the white star who has poo on her wing.
