gazpachodragon
i spent all afternoon cutting 4ft high grass and clearing a space so i could stake out where our chicken run is going to go. i then staked it out so mr gazpachodragon could take a look and i could measure it to ask my dad about building it at the weekend. it feels like we're getting really close to actually doing the deed and placing our eglu order. good times. whilst staking out the garden, i managed to not only sting all my hand and arm with a stinging nettle, but also my upper lip. i now have a trout pout, and have an interview tomorrow. bad times. what are yours today? ajm200
Poor you. I hate nettle stings. You might get some relief from the sting and inflammation by rubbing the area with the juice from the stem of the nettle if there's no dock leaves nearby. Rosemary, mint and sage leaves can also help.
Seagazer
Oh bad luck - should be ok by tomorrow though?! Good luck with your interview. After breaking lots of things yesterday so far I've not broken anything - touch wood.

Olly
ouch! That sounds pretty typical of my gardening ... whenever I stand back and gaze proudly at my achievement, it's usually at the cost of some bramble scratches, rose thorns or nettle stings. good luck with the interview. Maybe they'll just think you've had collagen injections!
craftyhunnypie
you could just be honest & tell them it was stinging nettles& that you still braved it & came to your interview. They might admire you for doing so! Good luck! Emma.x
