Electricbarbarella
Dotty and stripey both look to have very red wattles and quite big red combs today, they haven't before and fizz who had no comb on Monday when we got her definatley has one now. Do they mature that quickly, does that mean we are not far off the prize already? What age do they useally start to lay? Oh and aren't chooks lovely? Egluntyne
It does happen all of a sudden. Once they start crouching, you will have eggs very soon.

jools+6
ours had hormonal flushes for weeks but the two in lay have a "special" red ! that sounds strange doesnt it but the red combs and wattles are a definate different red from the other four layabouts practice reds . does that make sense ? oh ive had a hard day and my brain is mush ....
