Ange1 Posted July 21, 2008 Share Posted July 21, 2008 I've two out of 5 laying now and I've just keeping up with who's laying what! Now, can anyone help with what colour any of these breeds lay? Light Sussex, I thought was listed as brown but it's definately a cream! Black Pied? Ranger? Amber/Sweetie? Crested? I thought would be blue/green but definately very light cream?! So as you can see, my girls aren't laying by the book , so maybe your experience with what colours they really lay would be more beneficial?! chickencam Posted July 21, 2008 Share Posted July 21, 2008 My Light Sussex lays eggs that are a lilac/beige colour and quite pointed at one end. I can't really help with the others sorry. It is useful to be able to spot the differences between the eggs of each hen we can usually tell which of our 4 has laid which egg.
