The Blacks maybe boys.. a great shame as we could never keep them yer one of them is just so friendly. They are Arauncana. Not reallys sure about the black ones - lovely tail feathers. Have they started crowing - I think they start in ernest at 20 weeks or so. Someone else will have more detailed knowledge. The odd startled cluck on the find of a new plant in the garden and when one gets left on its own as the others sneek away. I prity sure that the two lavenders are girls and the peking partrage is a girl but the two black have me stumped. I think they are males and that will be a shame as one will sit in the hand for a while and make little fuss, it’s a bit bold (male?) and the other I am not sure of. They have more obvious combs but in this breed it does not mean much. I am compairing them between the lavenders and black and the black just have more pointes to say the are males… So I look for any answers to if they are males if so the breeder will have them back as our grumpy old man next door will kick off if we have a male announcing his presence all day.. I'm not sure if you can only truly see the combs on males. I think the females have them hidden under their hairdo's? Maybe ask on the Araucana club forum.
