we had 5 (Polands) in an eglu and standard run. The eglu was fine, but the run wasn't big enough. There was a lot of feather pecking. After a while, once we felt they were acclimatised and wouldn't fly off (at least one was a flier, can't remember how long we kept them confined - a month maybe) we let them into a pen. It got much better almost overnight - you could buy an extender/converter (they're great) to get over the run problem and it probably also depends what the birds are used to. Our Polands don't free range with the others because pom poms don't allow them to see predators....
