stoice
Would it be possible to grow Budleja in a very large pot? I know it's fast growing and will need pruning back hard every year but thought it might make a good screen sat on our decking between us and the neighbours. What do you think? moochoo
I think it would have to be a very large pot. Their roots grow really fast too and would probably get pot bound in a couple of years. It's definitely worth trying though, you could always re-pot it to keep it going.
chickencam
It should work provided it is a big pot and you give it plenty of water. They are also easy to grow from cuttings so if it looks like it is getting too big take off a softish branch or two and push them into the pot around the parent plant and they will soon root then can be repotted in their own right. stoice
Could I do that at this time of year? My mum has a lovely one, she wouldn't mind me taking a cutting. Do i just stick it in and it'll root? (Like willow does?) Fab if so The pot is huge ish. I can't get my arms round it. Will put water retaining gell in too if it'll help.
