kazaddress
My lovely new stove I cant wait.. in a couple of weeks all our heating and ho"Ooops, word censored!"er will be coming from this woodburning stove. (our wood is free from a local tree surgion. and in the summer months we will be using a solar collector Im so excited.. no more CO poisening from my nasty gas boiler.. it also has a hot plate on it, so we can keep a big kettle of hot water on their (or cook a nice casserole) All we have to do is fit the water diverter from the washing machine and bath, and we on our way woo hoo (oh and how much cheaper is the stove then a new gas boiler..... we were quoted between £4000 - £6000 for a new gas boiler as it would have to be re-positioned) Edited June 5, 2006 by Guest

Cinnamon
Thats lovely Kaz. We swapped our gas one for a wood burner about 6 weeks ago & it is fantastic. It doesn't heat the water or rads yet,but we think we will get another for the dining room to do that too. The house smells of open fires, its really efficient & it looks pretty too. It is in our living room & makes it so toasty in there,& upstairs as well. It has a hotplate too,but we haven't used it yet. Believe me,you won't look back Edited June 5, 2006 by Guest

One Man Banned
Kaz you have no idea how jealous we are getting!!! We're getting closer to the idea of building our own home full of the eco ways, log burner to heat the water, solar panels too and water recycling. One day, when we find the land Otherwise we'll settle for the farm somewhere............. > > > > > BUMP just landed again!

PurpleHen
Kaz - this looks fantastic. We're about to move house and I'm determined if anything needs doing we'll go towards this kind of route - eg it's an old boiler, so when it breaks we can investigate this further. Silly questions coming up do you keep this going 24 hours? I presume if it heats the water you would have to if you want hot water when getting up in the morning.....
