Old(er) hen laying soft or no shell eggs?

Recommended Posts

My GNR (I think) is laying either soft shelled or no shell eggs and nearly always on the roosting bars (does she think she's doing a poo?)

They have layers pellets with limestone flour, diatom, garlic granules and bokashi bran mixed in as well as a separate grub with grit. I'm not over generous with treats, a few grapes, carrot peelings and the occassional handful of corn or pasta.

What can the problem be? Are they just getting old? She is approx 18 months I'd guess.
