Hi had my ex batts 2 weeks tomorrow, have been very careful with them & gradually introducing new foods, yesterday tried a sprinkling of mixed corn & they totally ignored it :? thought all chickens loved corn ?? everything else has been at least pecked at & most have been gobbled down without a 2nd thought, tried again today but same reaction, question is do they need to eat corn or shall i just not bother,

I've had mine 2 weeks today - and they soon took a liking to corn. And they like tuna, scrambled egg and apple.

 

Mine are probably getting more treats than they should, as I'm using it to sprinkle along the dividing fence to try to get them all used to each other.

 

It could just be a slow process - it took mine a while to get used to drinking without knocking the drinkers over!

keep trying them. It was just the same with my girls. They will get the hang of things eventually. My lot ignored all treats for quite a while. Now they will check out anything to see if it tastes good, toes included! :D

 

ditto, fingers, buttons, zips, jewelry included! :lol:
