Ain't Nobody Here
Hope you have a fab time . Only advice I can give is keep your passport hidden at all times (except when a man in uniform asks to see it ). A classmate of my YS apparently had his passport taken out of his back pocket after going through passport control. He and his mum had to stay behind while dad and sister went ahead . I think he got there in the end but what a start to a holiday .

Cinnamon
Lucky you - I have just got back from my hols & feel like I need another one already Corfu is great - went there pre children many years ago. My checklist is- Cancel papaers Wax legs Unplug everything (apart from fridge ) Get Euros Give chicken sitter key & instructions Empty fridge, bin & bread bin Put rubbish out Pack flight handbag with liqueds etc in a plastic food bag, rescue remedy,a book, Heat magazine,phone,camera,i-pod,passports,tickets,money, & enough in pounds to buy an in flight G&T If you are taking more than one case, then mix & match the packing so if one does go astray, then a bit of everyones clothes are in each one.I usually pull aside one outfit for each person to pack in someone elses case. Have a wonderful time.

Cinnamon
Argh, those Mozzies! Where in Corfu were you staying?
Cate in NZ
It sounds like a great holiday, probably a bit too warm for comfort for me, but the blue skies, boat trips food and relaxation just sound like total bliss to me. Glad to hear that you had a good time. Too late now, but I've always been a bit of a magnet for mozzies and other biting insects as well, but a few years back I read something about garlic and Brewers yeast putting them off a bit. So I take odourless garlic tablets and brewers yeast daily for about 2 weeks before a holiday and throughout it and you know, it really seems to work, in that I get bitten less. Supposedly the tablets make your blood smell (?taste) funny and it puts off all but the most determined mozzie. As far as I know there is no scientific evidence for this, and definitely do not rely on it if you're travelling to a malarious or Yellow Fever region where it's really important that you avoid mozzie bites and protect yourself against disease, but for the harmless but irritating European mozzies I figure that garlic and brewers yeast certainly won't hurt you, may even be good for you and may deter the mozzies. Worth it for a couple of pounds from the supermarket
Joojoo
I was told that Gin is good for stopping the mozzies. Sadly I didn't get chance to try it before they had filled themselves up It sounds like you had a lovely time though
theherd123
Deet and citronella oil work wonders! My Bajan mum swears by citronella oil and is always slapping it on my legs when i go out to see her I dont find the mozzi sprays work very well at all and i always end up coughing as they smell so bad!
