Janty
Remember poor Lynn and her husband who had to re-home their two pekins and the aracauna because of their rotten neighbours? The girls have been staying at our house in the purple eglu until after the holiday in Wales as we had chicken sitters lined up. Well, we are all back from Wales, Nanny, Grandads and all, and the girls went over to their new home last night and rewarded them with their first egg this morning. Mum-in-law has just joined the forum as 'Nanny Hen' so hopefully we will be hearing from her soon. I also have to apologise to Lynn. She gave the girls such lovely delicate names but my husband could never remember them and so he gave them different ones and they have stuck. The red pekin is now known as Trotsky The lemon pekin is now known as Meringue The aracauna is now known as Pepper ( as the breed is from chile)

Ain't Nobody Here
Poor Lynn, but at least it's a happy ending for her girls. Love the names .
Lynn
I'm so glad to hear the girls are well and have moved to their new home. Please do send some pictures when you have time. I don't think the girls mind what they are called as long as there are plenty of treats around !! We are having respite at the moment as the neighbours have gone on holiday - we can only hope that they've gone to a country were they'll get arrested for being chavs!!! Nanny and Grandad seem to be spoiling them every time they lay an egg by the sounds of things. I will post pictures of them soon. Next time I visit I will take photos.
