Bluebelle
Mrs McGinty my bossy Bluebelle has just started laying, and getting very full of herself!!! She pecks at my hands when I go to open the run, but she seems especially keen on my red Crocs! I think she thinks she can eat them
Cinnamon
Hens love red,or anything bright. You should try going into the pen in flip flops & painted toes

frenchlayer
Mine pecked my crocs to start off with, especially the pins, but now they ignore them, they quickly work out that it's not food.
Cate in NZ
We had the painted toenail experince too . Chickens love anything bright and shiny and feet are in the ideal position for a bit of inquisitive pecking How about getting some glittery jibbitz for your Crocs...really give them something to peck at
