Angels4
In the nest box...Our first egg Jake (the youngest) Holding onto the first egg. And not only our first egg, but also a wonderful suprise A DOUBLE YOLKER...Clever girls. And soooooooooo tasty I know the first egg is usually small (and this one was) BUT it was perfectly formed and had a nice strong shell. Also the the two oldest girls, Clairee and M'Lynn are making quite the racket lately they seem to be very proud.) Could this have something to do with the start of laying

Angels4
Great news! Hope you did the egg dance - it isn't done enough in the US Egg Dance? If the egg dance includes lots of jumping up and down whilst saying over and over "I've got an egg, I've got an egg! I did, or maybe that is just the US version. If the egg dance includes lots of jumping up and down whilst saying over and over "I've got an egg, I've got an egg! I did, or maybe that is just the US version. That sounds exactly right! Angels4
I know the eggs start out small and get larger as the girls get used to laying, but how long does it generally take? Since our first egg we have had two others and they seem quite small almost bantam size.
