AJuff
My compost bin is full too . . fortunately my garden runs along side a narrow bit of council owned woodland so I put mine over the wall into the wooy bit. I put grass cuttings and hedge trimming over there too. It seems to break down ok and the trees are thriving.
Gallina
I would love to have it if anyone wants to drop their sacks outside my house! I compost everything.
Old Speckled Hen
I've found something called Flax bedding, said to be easily compostable , also more absorbable and more dust free according to advertisig blurb. My chooks free-range most of the day so wood shavings bedding last a while but I have been looking for an alternative to use when I'm away and they are run-bound. Might see if Pets-at-Home locally can order it. Costs £7.50 for 120L but delivery bumps that up significantly
Olly
I've got three compost bins. I only rake the run out every 4-6 weeks, and it goes straight in the bin - in between times, the grass clippings, general garden and vegetable waste and the contents of the poo trays all go in there too. I dug out some of last years, and it was fantastic compost with hardly any visible trace of aubiose in there. My local authority takes green waste in biodegradable bags, and they will take waste from vegetarian pets (i.e. bunnies, hamsters, GPs but not cats or dogs) so I could put it in there - but why give the council such a fantastic source of plant food? If you don't want to Freecycle it, bag it up and offer it to your local allotment society. They'll love it.
